Customer Support Engineer

About the Job

We’re looking for a highly motivated, well-spoken individual to provide efficient and thorough technical assistance to our growing customer base. Customer delight is the driving force of our success, and it takes a lot of thought and care.

Technical development and troubleshooting will be your primary responsibility. However, this role will require a wide breadth of skills as additional responsibilities will range from technical writing to analyzing, researching and solving technical problems directly with our customers to educating customers about our products.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong understanding of web technologies, and an aptitude to learn the intricacies of an evolving software product. Because our team is small and our customers are varied, you will need to be able to quickly catch on to new technologies and enjoy solving problems.

Work Environment

Desirable Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Excited to interact with customers and potential customers
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
  • Familiarity with relational databases, such as MySQL, a plus

Location

Cambridge, MA – Alewife on the red line and on the Minuteman bikeway. Our new office building has lots of amenities, including a fitness center, mini Whole Foods, plenty of parking, and all sorts of indoor and outdoor games.
