3Play Media joins “Kaltura Exchange”, the first Virtual Marketplace for Video Applications
Exerpted from official Kaltura release
Cambridge, Mass. – April 14, 2010 – 3Play Media, Inc., an interactive transcription company, announced today that it has joined the Kaltura Exchange, a global marketplace for video application developers and service providers to connect with the Kaltura platform.
The 3Play Media Interactive Transcript Plugin provides a rich search and navigation experience for large video libraries. The high quality transcripts also make the videos accessible for the hearing impaired. Any webmaster can install the plugin easily on a site using the Kaltura Media Player, making the transcripts fully hosted and searchable with the media. End users of 3Play’s plugin with the Kaltura player will be able to click any word of a transcript and jump to that segment of the video, search entire archives based on actual spoken content, and jump to specific video segments based on search results.
Kaltura, Inc. has developed the first open source online video platform. Applications in the Kaltura Exchange are split into several categories, such as skins, themes and language packs, plugins for the Kaltura video player, remixer, and other video tools, client libraries in different programming languages, and stand-alone widgets and apps.
