3Play Media Profiled in MIT Sloan School of Management Course
Case study for Early Stage Capital course inspired by 3Play Media
Somerville, Mass. – October 20, 2008 – 3Play Media, a leading provider of cost-effective transcription and video captioning solutions, today announced that they have been selected to be profiled by a course in the MIT Sloan MBA program. Professor Shari Loessberg’s “Early Stage Capital” provides students with an opportunity to role play as the entrepreneur and negotiate terms sheets with real lawyers and venture capitalists. The 3Play Media story will be slightly altered for privacy reasons and will serve as the venture being negotiated for all participating students.
The 3Play Media name will not be used in the case. 3Play Media co-founder, Jeremy Barron noted, “This is a testament to the hard work we’ve put in. Our company is being viewed as having interesting technology and showing promise. We feel good about that.”
Early Stage Capital is taught each fall semester at MIT Sloan by Shari Loessberg, an experienced entrepreneur in emerging markets. She was a partner, director and general counsel of Brunswick (now Brunswick UBS), a start-up investment firm in the Russian equity market.
