Accessible video means video that can be perceived, operated, and understood by anyone across the broadest range of technologies and interfaces possible. Specifically, that means: adding closed captions and audio description, publishing to an accessible video player that is navigable by keyboards and screenreaders, and using proper color contrast in the video player controls. 

Why Make Video Accessible?
As video has come to dominate other forms of web media, it is imperative we do not exclude people with sensory and motor disabilities that affect computer use. Simply equipping yourself with a basic understanding of web accessibility principles, and providing closed captions and audio description removes barriers to web video for hundreds of millions of people worldwide.
