Video Tutorials | Quick Start

The first step is to upload your media files. The easiest way is to use the Secure Direct Uploader. Go to the Upload page and select the files you want to upload from your computer. Other upload options include FTP, pasting links, or importing from another video platform or lecture capture system. You can also use our API to fully automate the file transfer process.

After your files are uploaded, you can monitor the job status and organize your files from the My Files page. Here you can also download different formats of closed caption and transcript files. Note that your files are stored indefinitely, and you can access them any time.

Your account also lets you view, edit, and make redactions to your transcript and caption files after they have been processed. Your edits instantly propagate to all output files, and you do not need to reprocess or even republish in many cases.

For web publishers, your account provides the resources to install an interactive transcript on an external website. An interactive transcript connects to almost any video player and lets users search and navigate through a video. It can also include other components like auto translation and social video clipping, which lets users clip and share a section of video simply by highlighting the text.

For market researchers, producers, and video editors, your account includes Clipmaker, an internal application for deep, cross-file textual searching, clipping, and exporting clip reels to other applications.
