SOCS training at UW-Madison
3Play Media’s partnership with University of Wisconsin – Madison continues to grow with the university’s development of an immersive technology training session, which incorporates training on 3Play Media’s captioning platform.

The Student Online Course Support (SOCS) program, which runs from January 6-17, introduces 30 students to tools, resources, and training to produce content for online and blended courses. According to SOCS project assistant Jacqueline Canonaco, “….students acquire skills with learning management systems, video production and editing, basic web and graphic design, and building interactive presentations.”

Understanding the process and workflow for adding captions to online video is a critical part of accessible video production. We see this initiative as a huge win for UW-Madison accessibility and online programs.
