YouTube Video Captioning Made Simple with TubeBuddy & 3Play Media
Updated: January 4, 2018
If you use YouTube for business, whether you’re vlogging or managing a corporate account, you’re going to need the right tools to manage your channel.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with TubeBuddy to give YouTubers a seamless captioning experience.
What is TubeBuddy?
TubeBuddy is a browser plugin for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer that helps you manage your professional YouTube channel. It links directly to your YouTube account so you can access a suite of features directly in YouTube.
TubeBuddy lets you automatically update, upload, or delete annotations and cards on your channel. Cards and annotations are hugely important for driving traffic to your website, getting email sign ups, or making sales. Without an automation tool, you would be stuck manually changing these on individual videos — an unreasonable task once you have a sizable video library.
TubeBuddy also offers social media integration so you can post videos to Facebook and track shares. Video SEO tools suggest tags for videos, examine your search rank, and let you A/B test different descriptions and titles.
Because closed captions improve YouTube SEO and user engagement, TubeBuddy now offers in-platform captioning through 3Play Media.
How to Add Captions to YouTube Videos with TubeBuddy & 3Play Media
After installing TubeBuddy, YouTube creators can order captions from 3Play Media without leaving YouTube. The captioning process is easy, whether you’re uploading a new video or updating your archive.
How to Caption New YouTube Videos
From your YouTube account, go to the Upload page. After a video has been uploaded and processed, simply click the Captions Service button under Tools.
Skip down to the step “Video Captioning Service.”
