At the 2016 NAB Show (National Association of Broadcasters Show) last month, 3Play Media made a pledge.

For everyone who visited our booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center and got their badge scanned, we would donate $5 to the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA).

After a bustling conference, we’re proud to report that we donated $1,000 to the HLAA!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at NAB to help make this happen. We hope you’ll caption all your video content to make it fully inclusive of deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

Why Hearing Loss Association of America?

Hearing Loss Association of AmericaAs a closed captioning company, we care about making video accessible to people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. That’s why we’ve chosen to donate all funds raised at NAB to the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting Americans with hearing loss.

The HLAA advocates for awareness and accommodations for deaf and hard-of-hearing Americans, and it provides resources to families and people who are adjusting to life without hearing.

The HLAA organizes an annual Walk4Hearing to raise funds for their mission, and you’ll find 3Players at the Boston Walk4Hearing in October, 2016. Find a walk near you and consider showing your support by walking or sponsoring a walker.
