Inclusion inspiration

In recent years, technological innovation has advanced as rapidly as social expectations, and companies are increasingly looking to address questions of digital inclusion & accessibility. Startups play a unique role in answering these questions, as they disrupt the existing market and innovate new technological solutions.

The CEOs of three such startups are featured in the mid-summit session, Inclusion Inspiration: How Startup Entrepreneurs Create Disruptive Solutions that can Change the World, and each will discuss their respective journey from company creation to current day, their view of disability & accessibility, and what they’ve learned along the way.

Panelists will include:

Josh Miller, co-CEO and co-founder of 3Play Media

  • 3Play Media provides high-quality captioning, transcription, translation, and audio description through an innovative software platform that combines machine learning technology & real, human editors.

Charlotte Dales, CEO and co-founder of Inclusively

  • Inclusively is a tech-centered professional networking & employment software that connects job seekers with disabilities to inclusive workplaces accepting of accommodations.

Troy Otillio, CEO of Aira

  • Aira provides an assistive service that blends wearable technology, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to create networks of trained professional agents that connect with & assist blind/low vision users with virtually any task.

The session will be moderated by Frances West, IBM’s first Chief Accessibility Officer and founder of FrancesWestCo, a global advisory on operational inclusion. West was also recently appointed to 3Play Media’s Board of Directors, and her support means the world as we continue to focus on innovation as the leader in video accessibility technology.
