About Janet
Janet Sylvia has provided web accessibility consultation and training for the past 20 years. Her areas of expertise include Accessibility in Higher Education, Section 508, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). In 2011 Janet founded the Web Accessibility Group (WAG) for Higher Education, which is now under the auspices of the State of Georgia, ADA Coordinator’s office. In 2018 she was recognized by AMAC Accessibility for her outstanding contribution as a leader in the higher education community; she has raised awareness and advocated for accessible education for all, becoming a leading voice in this arena. Janet has presented at regional, national and international accessibility events.
