Closed Captioning & Transcription
We deliver competitively priced closed captions and transcripts for pre-recorded media. After your media files have been uploaded to our system, they are processed by transcriptionists who leverage our advanced technology, process, and workflow.
All charges are rounded up to the nearest minute of each file, with a minimum service charge of one (1) minute of content per Source Material. Pricing listed below is based on our standard turnaround of four (4) business days, for pre-recorded videos in English or Spanish.

Turnaround Options

Captioning & Transcription in Languages Other than English & Spanish
For pre-recorded videos in languages other than English and Spanish, Other Language Captioning and Transcription provides high-quality transcripts which involve a second round of review by an additional transcriber.
Other Language Captioning and Transcription is available in nearly 2 dozen languages, including Portuguese, French, German and Arabic – as well as many others. Standard estimated turnaround time for other language transcription is five (5) business days.
Please note: the following services are exempt from discounts. Certain captioning and transcription services in languages other than English and Spanish may be provided by third party vendors.

Live Captioning
Highly accurate, reliable, and easy-to-schedule real-time captions powered by 3Play Media technology and professional captioners.
In addition to our seamlessly integrated Live Professional Captioning solution, we also provide Live Auto Captioning with an option to upgrade your recording to full transcription. This service is available for English content only.
3Play Media may reject Live Professional Captioning requests for any legitimate reason, such as Customer did not provide sufficient lead time, or 3Play Media does not have a resource available at the time of the live event.
There is an additional prep time charge for Live Professional Captioning.

Audio Description
We provide audio description services to make video content accessible to blind and low vision viewers. Our services utilize human describers with a synthesized speech output.
We provide several file format outputs as well as integrations with supported video platforms and a simple iframe plugin. Pricing listed below is based on our standard turnaround of five (5) business days, for pre-recorded videos in English or Spanish.
Please note that there is a 15-minute minimum charge for Voice Artist Audio Description.
Note: Standard vs. Extended Audio Description:
- Standard audio description fits all descriptions into existing pauses in the audio.
- Extended audio description pauses the video to create more space for description.

Our standard turnaround for audio description is 5 business days, with options as fast as 1 business day. Please note that audio description turnaround is calculated from the due date of captioning. Translation & Subtitling
After your video or audio files have been transcribed (or transcripts aligned), you have the option to translate them into many different languages.
Our translation services are integrated with our captioning and transcription services. That means you can request translations, monitor job status, and download translated transcripts and multilingual video subtitles directly from your 3Play Media account.
Our interactive transcript, captions plugin, and other video plugins are also integrated with the translation process and support multiple languages. We work with multiple third party providers for translation and subtitling.
