3Play Media's Real-Time Captioning Services
3Play Media works with colleges and universities across the country to provide high quality, reliable real-time captioning services that put students first. Our solution is designed to create a seamless, stress-free experience by addressing common challenges like staffing shortages, poor support, manual scheduling workflows, and staffing visibility. Our scheduling platform is integrated with common platforms like Zoom and allows you to bulk schedule for an entire semester, add course materials in the instructions, and create one captioning URL for an entire course to provide to students. You’ll have visibility into when your class has been staffed and whether your captioner has been able to connect during class. After class, you’ll receive the completed transcript, which can be delivered via email or directly to other tools like Box.

Our experience with the AIM and 3Play integration has been very positive. Scheduling students’ real-time captioning is much more seamless within a system that all our stakeholders (faculty, students, and staff) use daily. In addition, accessing transcriptions immediately after the live captioning has taken place has been beneficial for faculty, who use that information to review lectures and clarify anything necessary for the students with the accommodation need.

About the Integration:
3Play Media and Accessible Information Management (AIM) have integrated to streamline fulfillment of real-time accommodation requests. Once you’ve linked your 3Play Media and AIM accounts, managing student needs for real-time captioning couldn’t be easier. This enables:
- Better Student Experience: Say goodbye to access barriers! Students get everything they need for the entire semester right in AIM, including a single captioning link for each course.
- Better Staff Experience: Staff no longer have to manage the extremely manual process of being the intermediary between the student, AIM, and the captioning provider.
To get started, you need an AIM account and a 3Play Media account. One of our team members will work with AIM to link your accounts. This is a one time setup, and then you will have access to assign 3Play Media to any real-time captioning requests directly in your AIM portal.
