How to #SignYourLove
- Take a video of your or your friends signing the phrase “I love” plus a word of your choice in American Sign Language.
- Upload your video to social media using #SignYourLove and tagging Faces Behind the Screen.
- Challenge and tag 3 other friends to also sign what they love!
What if I Don’t Know American Sign Language?
Be sure to place close attention to how each word is signed. Sign language isn’t just about using your hands, it also incorporates your arms and facial expressions.
Raising Awareness for Greater Accessibility

Sign language is different from country to country – some countries share similar sign language but with their own dialect.
Around the world, there are more than 360 million people who have some degree of hearing loss. As we continue to become a more interconnected world – thanks to the internet – it has become ever more important to ensure that the internet is accessible for all.
At Faces Behind the Screen, our aim is to connect the world with stories from the deaf, hard of hearing, blind, and low vision community to offer a new perspective and shatter common stigmas and preconceived notions.
We also want to raise greater awareness for a more accessible web. The majority of websites are not accessible, let’s work to change that!
