Our solution is future-proof, which means we make it easy to “set it and forget it.” If your captioning needs stay the same, so will our service and delivery! With strict internal compliance deadlines, we guarantee consistency – but we’d never sacrifice quality. Coupled with our measured accuracy and five-star support, we’re a full service solution built to make your life easier.
Below, we’ve compiled some of the best examples of how we integrate your peace of mind into every step of our process:
Five Star Support
Let’s face it, nobody wants to spend hours painstakingly adding closed captions to their videos – that’s why we’re here! Our flexible API workflows allow for custom automation of the captioning process, which makes it easy for you to “set it and forget it.” We won’t forget about you, though!
If you need help at any point, we’ve compiled a Knowledge Base of support articles based on questions we’ve previously received that may be helpful to future users. The questions are organized categorically, and cover such topics like troubleshooting the 3Play platform, compatible video platform integrations, and so much more.
On top of that, we have a dedicated support team that prides itself on rapid response times. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in our support documentation, you can submit a support ticket! Our support team and archive of resources are always at your disposal, so you’ll never have to worry about getting a question answered.
Top Quality & Measured Accuracy
Once you start working with the 3Play platform, our innovative (and patented!) closed captioning process combines the best of both worlds – AI & machine learning technology and real, human captioners – to ensure quality is never a question.
While automatic speech recognition (ASR) software can be useful in day-to-day contexts, we’ve learned that when it comes to providing full accessibility, it’s not enough on it’s own to create high-quality closed captions for recorded content. That’s why at 3Play, our innovative process passes video content through multiple layers of transcription to make sure we deliver the most accurate captions possible.
But how can we measure accuracy, just to be sure? The industry measures overall accuracy by percentage, and the standard for quality is 99%. Some captioning vendors will promise 99% accuracy, but avoid measuring important factors that would alter this figure – including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
With the highest accuracy in the industry, 3Play’s 99.6% measured accuracy rate accounts for all of these factors and more, like speaker identifications and even non-speech elements (like a door slamming or footsteps, which both add situational context but aren’t dialogue). Quality standards are baked into our process, to give you accurate captions and transcripts every time.
To provide peace of mind with the delivery of every project, 3Play offers something unique – our customers tell us the deadline. Other captioning vendors may promise quick turnaround, but the fine print often clarifies that turnaround is determined by file size.
Whether you need your captions TODAY or your deadline is a little more fluid, we have a range of turnaround options to fit the needs of your project. Standard turnaround is 4 days, while our fastest option gives you captions in just 2 hours. On the other hand, we offer an extended 10-day turnaround if you really don’t need them in a rush.
We’re flexible according to your needs, but we still take deadlines seriously! With strict internal service-level agreements (SLAs) around compliance, we’ve achieved a 99.6% deadline compliance rate – and we don’t plan on stopping now. All together, our record of delivering on turnaround, measured accuracy rate, and innovative captioning process make adding closed captions to your content a breeze. If all goes well, you won’t even notice we’re there! 😎
One of the biggest incentives to caption video content is to comply with legal requirements. When video content is inaccessible or not captioned, enterprises across industries are at risk of legal action – with some of the most notable lawsuits in recent years being in the education and entertainment sectors.
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (1973) requires web accessibility where federal money is used, but many states have furthered this policy by adopting “little 508s.” Although not required by law, WCAG 2.0 guidelines have historically been upheld as the technical standard and legal precedent for website accessibility.
3Play Media’s closed captioning complies with all of these legal standards and more, including standards set by the FCC, the ADA, and international accessibility laws. We do all the compliance work, so you have peace of mind knowing that your captioned content is accessible to all.
